About Bruce I. Kodish

Bruce I. Kodish, Ph.D., P.T., has worked as a physical therapist since 1981, with wide-ranging experience in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, orthopedic clinics, home care and private practice. Bruce is a certified teaching member of the American Society for the Alexander Technique and certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). He has studied a variety of posture-movement disciplines (presently focusing on Taijichuan and Qi Gong) and therapy approaches with a focus on musculoskeletal problems. In his private practice, Bruce, whose Ph.D. is in general semantics (applied epistemology) provides his unique synthesis of posture-movement therapy and posture-movement education. He has physical therapy licenses in California and Pennsylvania. He is the author of Back Pain Solutions and Dare to Inquire, and with his wife Susan Presby Kodish, Ph.D., a psychologist, co-author of Drive Yourself Sane: Using The Uncommon Sense of General Semantics. They continue to write about and teach the philosophical discipline of general semantics in relation to a variety of applications. Both are dedicated to the goal of applying and helping others to apply a creatical (creative/critical) attitude in everyday life. Together they founded the Los Angeles Center for General Semantics.
